Following their season opening trip to Florida for eight races, Destiny Motorsports is happy to announce that they have come to an agreement to make Scott Benic, of Benic Enterprises, their 2013 Crew Chief.

“We had Scott Benic with us in Florida, and it was a huge help,” said team driver, Jayme Barnes. “Over the winter I ran one of his midgets at the Chili Bowl, and in Duquoin, IL, and he’s a smart guy that will help us out a ton.”

Over the last few years, Benic has been involved in USAC working as a crew chief in the sprint car and midget divisions, and has had tremendous success with many of that side of the sport’s top drivers.

“Scott Benic is a great man for the sport, and a great man for our team,” said Destiny Motorsports team owner, Rick Rogers. “He is very knowledgeable, and I am excited to have him on our sideline, helping our team grow.”

With a wealth of knowledge in both traditional, and winged sprint cars, shocks, set ups, and engines, the entire Destiny Motorsports team is pleased to continue working with Scott, and are looking forward to getting back to the track in March.

“We got off to a rough start, but towards the end of our Florida trip we found some things,” Barnes added. “Right now all of our stuff is up at his shop, and he will go through it, get it race ready again, and we will go back out racing.”

Jayme and his team would like to thank Mondak Portables, Rick Rogers Construction, Eagle Motorsports, Speedmart, Wesmar Racing Engines, Driver Websites, and Benic Enterprises for their support through the 2013 season.

2013 BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-8, Wins-0, Top 5’s-0, Top 10’s-0

ON TAP: Jayme and his Destiny Motorsports team will now travel back to their home shop in North Dakota, and return to action at the Attica Speedway in March.
