Returning to action on Friday night at the Williams Grove Speedway, Lance Dewease made a complete 180 from last week as he had quite possibly the fastest car on the track and just came up short of victory as he tallied a second place finish.

Starting in the second row of his heat race, Dewease used the topside of the speedway aboard his Lelands.com/Conduit Connections/Pasquirellos Auto backed entry to grab the second spot.

Chasing down Gerald McIntyre, Dewease would settle for the second spot, and move on to the night’s feature event where he would line up in the eighth spot.

“We were rolling in the heat, and the track started slicking off as the night went on, so we were really looking forward to the feature event,” Dewease said.

Starting in the fourth row, Dewease was good early, as he put his Penske Racing Shocks/Wings Unlimited/Brown and Miller machine all over the Williams Grove Speedway as he carved his way towards the front.

Getting up to fifth by just the fourth lap, Dewease made quick work of Tony Stewart to take over the fourth spot as he got faster as laps clicked off.

Getting into third with eight laps to go, Dewease got past Logan Scuchart to take ove the second  spot with just five laps to go, as he eyed Danny Dietrich.

In traffic, Dewease closed in on Dietrich’s rear bumped, however he wasn’t able to get his Keizer Wheels/DMI/Schoenfeld entry around him out of four, and settled for a very close second position.

“It was an all around great night for this Heffner Racing team,” he said. “We were bad here at Williams Grove last week, and to be that fast, and that close to a win is a very good feeling.”

Saturday night, Dewease and his team traveled to the Port Royal Speedway to see if they could continue their success.

Starting on the front row of his heat, Dewease got the jump, and went on to pick up the win, and put his Hanks Performance Parts/FK Rod Ends/Viper Venom Fuels in the feature event where they would make the inversion, starting in the seventh spot, as he would score a fifth place finish.

“It was a great weekend, for us,” he said. “To put to two five finishes together is great for us, and things are really starting to come together. We are getting faster every week, and hopefully we can get celebrating after one of these races very soon.”

Dewease and his Heffner Racing team would like to thank Lelands.com, Conduit Connections, Pasquirellos Auto Shop, Penske Racing Shocks, Wings Unlimited, Brown and Miller Racings Solutions, Keizer Wheels, DMI Racing Components, Schoenfeld Headers, Hanks Performance Products, FK Rod Ends, Viper Venom fuels, ATL Fuel Cells, Schaeffer Racing Oils, Astro Titanium, Tom Shockey Collision, Kirkey Racing Seats, Michael Graphics, Valley Forge Inc., Bell Helmets, WRT Web Designs, and WRT SpeedWerx for their support.
