Kicking off his US season with a brand new team, Ian Madsen welcomed first time car owner, Bret Nehring, to the sport in grand fashion, as he picked up the win during their first night out at the 34 Raceway Saturday night in Burlington, IA.

“It was a bummer that I could not get back home to finish off my season in Australia, but it sure is a great alternative to be here in victory lane with a brand new team our first night out,” Madsen said.

Kicking the night off, Madsen lined his Nehring Construction/Team Kline Electric/Logan Contractors Supply machine up in the second row of his heat race, and make some great moves on Mike Moore, and Terry McCarl to pick up the win and transfer to the feature event.

Starting on the pole of the feature event, Madsen continued to show the rest of the field around the track as he grabbed the early lead.

Out front he fended off Lucas Wolfe who tried his best to keep up with the Greenland Homes/Stepping Stone Genetics/Factory Kahne backed entry.

As laps clicked off, Madsen continued to be untouched, as he carved his way through lapped traffic.

Getting through traffic to near perfection, Madsen went on to continue his winning ways, as he posted his first win of his 2013 US campaign, and third overall in the 2013 calendar year.

“This KPC Racing machine was awesome right out of the box,” he said. “I can thank Bret Nehring and Matt Barbara for putting such an awesome team together for me to drive.”

Ian and his KCP Racing team would like to thank Nehring Construction, Team Kline Electric, Logan Contractors Supply, Royal Flooring, Greenland Homes of Iowa, Stepping Stone Genetics, Kustom Concrete Pumping Inc., Royal Flooring, Quality Traffic Control, Stepping Stone Genetics, Factory Kahne, Rider Racing Engines, JRS Excavating, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Quality Traffic Control, Kent Performance, Smith Precision Products, Moose Blocks, Speedway Motors, Watson’s Express Transport, and Kustom Concrete Pumping for their support.
