Macon, IL — (April 23, 2013)  — Macon Speedway is proud to bring open-wheeled action to the track this weekend April 27, as well as two Nascar stars Ken Schrader and Justin Allgaier joining in the action! Macon Speedway co-owner Schrader will be at the track on Saturday to compete in the UMP Billingsley Towing Modified division events, while Allgaier will be competing in the POWRi Midget division.

The 2013 POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget and Speedwaymotor.com 600cc Outlaw Micro Sprint Series will thrill fans this weekend at the lightning quick Macon Speedway in Macon, IL on Saturday.  The POWRi cars should put on quite a display this Saturday night; as well over 100 cars are expected to battle it out on the super fast 1/5 mile oval.

Also racing that night will be UMP Street Stocks, UMP Sportsman, UMP 4-cylinder Hornets and Stock Hornets.

Don’t forget to sign up for the Macon Speedway Crazy Kid’s Club this week from 5-7 pm under the reserved seating section. Be sure not to miss out this year as we will have games, candy, sports, arts and crafts!

Macon Speedway will open their pits at 3:00 pm with driver registration from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm. National Midget drivers’ meeting is at 5:15 pm with the 600cc Outlaw Micro drivers meeting at 5:30 pm.  Hot laps are at 6:00 pm with racing at 7:00 pm.  Adult general admission tickets are $15 and kids 11 & under are still free. Pit gate admission will be $30 for the event.

Macon Speedway is located 9 miles south of Decatur, IL on US 51 then 1/2 mile west on Andrews Street, then South on Wiles.
