PA Sprint Series Returns to SSP This Saturday

Newberrytown, PA — (April 21, 2013) — On Saturday night, April 27, the PA Sprint Series returns to the Big Track at the Susquehanna Speedway Park along with the Late Models, Street Stocks, Xtreme Stock Cars and Road Warriors/Mini Vans.  It will also be the Auto racing Club of Hagerstown (A.R.C.H.) Night at the races as well.

Handicapping of feature lineups begins for the Late Models and Street Stocks based on feature finishes in the previous three races for that division.  A blind draw will still set the lineups for the qualifying heat races for those divisions.

On Saturday, the pit gates will open at 3:30 p.m. Grandstand gates will open at 4:00 p.m. Track Prep laps begin at 5:30 p.m. with qualifying races at 6:00 p.m. followed by consolation races and feature events.

General Admission Grandstand ticket prices for Saturday night are Adults (ages 18-59) $14.00; Young Adults (ages 11-17) & Senior Adults (60 & Older) $10.00; Children (10 & under) are free.  Pit pass prices are $25.00 with a reduced price of $22.00 for all pit competitor license holders.  The minimum age requirement to purchase a pit pass is 12 years of age with a copy of a birth certificate is required for all ages 12 to 14.

Last Saturday night, Randy Christine Jr. of Manchester claimed his first Late Model win of the season at the Susquehanna Speedway Park on Saturday Night.  Littlestown’s Randy Zechman took his first win in the Street Stock 20 lapper.  York’s Patrick McClane wired the field to win the 20-lap Xtreme Stock Car feature.  The 15-lap Road Warrior feature was won by York Haven’s Daryl Sipe for the second week in a row.  York Haven’s Zakari Kitner claimed the 10-lap Mini Van feature.  Aaron Brommer continued his two year win streak collecting the 12-lap PENNMAR Vintage Car feature.  Shawn Crunkilton was the Figure 8 feature winner in the night capper.
