The 2013 season is just about to kick off around the Upper Midwest but A to Z Promotions is already focused on Labor Day weekend and the 35th running of the Jackson Nationals. The Jackson Nationals event has gained a title sponsor in State Bank of Fairmont. The State Bank, located at the intersections of Hwy. 15 and Blue Earth Avenue in Fairmont, Minnesota, has been a long-time supporter of racing and race cars around the region, including a long relationship with 2006-2007 Jackson Nationals champion Gregg Bakker.

“Bill and Lance Blomster have been such great supporters of Sprint Car racing and were very helpful in our first promotion last year at Fairmont Raceway. I knew as soon as we signed the deal to promote the 35th Jackson Nationals on August 30-31 that my first call would be to the State Bank of Fairmont to see if they wanted to be involved again. They are not just great partners but great supporters of racing at all levels and their support will help make this the biggest Jackson Nationals in years,” said Adam Adamson of A to Z Promotions. “Fairmont is just 30 miles down the road from Jackson and since the Blomsters have always been such big Sprint Car fans, Jackson Speedway and the Nationals have always been important to them.”

In addition to the announcement of State Bank of Fairmont as the title sponsor, Adamson also firmed up plans for the Woodke Challenge. This year, the Friday night of the Jackson Nationals will be the annual Woodke Memorial and A to Z Promotions has added the Woodke Challenge to feature some of the top racers in the Upper Midwest. Similar to the Brodix Tournament of Champions held at Knoxville Raceway in past seasons, the Woodke Challenge will feature the top two in 2013 point standings from the Jackson Speedway, Knoxville Raceway, ASCS Lucas Oil Dirt Series and ASCS Speedway Motors Midwest Region for a special race to honor the late Loren Woodke.

For many years, Woodke built engines and owned race cars that were a key part of racing in the North Star State and the Upper Midwest. More details, including purse, will be announced in the future.
