ROCHESTER, NY, (April 30, 2013)- This Friday will mark the 10-year anniversary of the first Patriot Sprint event, so perhaps it is only that the series will be in action at Black Rock Speedway, the facility that has hosted by far the most events in series history.

The 2013 Patriot Sprint Tour America Series gets underway this Friday with what is sure to be a highly-contested event.  This is the seventh consecutive year that the Dundee, NY oval has hosted an early-spring sprint show, with each producing a different winner.

Tom Taber won the inaugural Patriot event back in 2003, and is likely to be in attendance in the pits Friday aiding both Steve Collins as well as 2012 PST Canada Champion Justin Barger; both are expected to be quick but there are a host of other names that could factor in this Friday.

Almost every PST Champion has visited Victory Lane, including George Suprick, who won their last June for the sixth time in PST competition; his eighth time overall, the most in track history.  Suprick, along with his teammate Clint Ide, will be making the trip up from Pennsylvania.

Chuck Hebing, the winningest PST driver in series history, has scored six wins at the 4/10-mile oval and should be a threat once again.  The same can be said for four-time PST Champion Bryan Howland garnered a lone win in Yates County, while 2011 title holder Jared Zimbardi has a pair, will all of those wins coming with substantial payouts.

One PST Champion that has yet to capture the double-checkered flags at BRS is Scott Kreutter, who was the PST America Champion last year.  Kreutter has been very quick at Dean Hoag’s facility over the years though and definitely could break through Friday as his begins his title defense.

Tommy Wickham, Kevin Ward Jr., Jason Barney, Alain Bergeron, Brad Knab and Derek Jonathan will get their PST America seasons started after running the PST Canada event at Merrittville.  Among the drivers to run their first PST race of the year are Brandan Warner, Steven Hutchinson Jr., Dave Wickham, Geoff Quackenbush, Charlie Donk, Paul Habeck and Bruce DeWick.

The field will undoubtedly be stout, especially if names such as Lance Yonge, Tim Kelly, Jessica Zemken, Dave Just or Scott Just are on hand.  Racing will begin at 6:45 P.M. on Friday. For more information, visit www.PatriotSprintTour.com.
