Sarver, PA (May 29, 2013) Mother Nature stole another Fast Friday of Fab Four Racing last week as rains throughout the day Thursday and into Friday morning saturated the grounds and thus forcing the cancelation of the event.  This Friday’s forecast looks more like a late July/early August one with temps nearing 90 degrees.  But it’s fitting as Fab Four Racing promises to heat up entering the Action-packed month of June which includes Holiday Races with Fireworks on #1 Cochran Fan Appreciation Night on June 14, the always thrilling Mid-Season Championships on June 22 and concluding with the biggest racing weekend of the season on June 27-28-29 as the World of Outlaws Late Models Series rolls into Sarvertown for the 7th Annual Firecracker 100.

But before we dive into the deep end of the Fab Four Racing pool in June, we have one last Fast Friday in May and our new friends from Peoples TWP (2013 DIRTcar Sprint Cars division sponsor) will be on hand for their first night, of hopefully many, as event sponsor.  You’ll notice a large tent behind the pavilions in the parking lot where they will convene before the race.  You’ll also get an up close and personal look at their Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV) that will be on display near the main gates before the race and then pacing the features alongside the #1 Cochran Ram Pace Truck.

One of Peoples TWP’s primary ways of helping the community is through their Dollar Energy Fund, which helps “those in need” pay their home heating bills.  Fans can donate to this fund by purchasing raffle tickets for $1 for a chance to win one of three great prize packages; 2 Three-Day Pit Passes to the 7th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com, 2 VIP Passes to the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup XXII Twin 30s presented by GottaRace.com or Four passes to Fab Four Racing.  Tickets are just $1, but feel free to purchase $5, $10 or even $20 to increase your chances of winning one of these three ticket packages.  Each prize package will also include a half gallon of Turner’s Premium Iced Tea plus a Turner’s hat and tee shirt.

A table will be set up by the NGV pre-race near the main gates and inside the gates during heat race competition.  The NGV will deliver the ticket buckets to Sheetz Victory Lane after pacing the Peoples TWP DIRTcar Sprint feature and the feature winning driver will pull the three prize package winners!

Speaking of the Peoples TWP Sprints, three drivers are separated by just a single point atop the Budweiser Point Standings heading into Friday Night’s Fab Four Racing event.  Defending Mercer Raceway Park Track Champion Eric Williams and Brandon Spithaler, (winner of last Saturday Night’s BOSS Wingless Sprint feature at Mercer Raceway Park) are tied at the top with 91 points and Lernerville Speedway Opening Night feature winner Jack Sodeman Jr. rides in third at 90 points.

The BOSS Wingless Sprints will make their Action Track debut along with the RUSH Dirt Late Model Series and Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar Sportsman on Friday, July 5.

2010-2011 Lernerville Track Champion Dave Hess Jr. leads the Precise Racing Products DIRTcar Late Model Points, but that’s not the biggest feather in his cap of the 2013 season.  Hess stole the show last weekend at Wayne County Speedway by winning the $10,000 Buckeye 50 World of Outlaws Late Model Series A-Main over Josh Richards and Darrell Lanigan.  Read more about the biggest Late Model win of Hess’s career at http://www.woolms.com/news/race-reports/116-2013-race-reports/1227-woo-lms-wayne-co-live-updates-524.

Hess will be looking to repeat that feat with $30,000 on the line just one month from today, as the World of Outlaws Late Model Series will be in town for the 7th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com.  Racing begins Thursday & Friday, June 27 & 28 with complete $6,000-to-win World of Outlaws Late Model Series programs and concluding with Saturday Night’s WoO LMS program consisting of heat races set by best finish from either preliminary event, B-Mains, the $3,000-to-win Uncle Sam 30 presented by Turner’s Premium Iced Teas and the $30,000-to-win Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com.

Canadian sensation Mat Williamson leads the Diehl Auto Group DIRTcar Northeast Modified points by 20 points.  The race for second is as close as the points lead in the Peoples TWP Sprints, as again, three driver are separated by a single point;  Former Track Champions Jeremiah Shingledecker (93), Jim Weller Jr. (92) and Dave Murdick (92).  Veteran drivers Rex King Sr. (89) and Brian Swartzlander (87) are close behind in fifth and sixth in points.

Defending Track Champion Corey McPherson (117) and his GM Performance 604 crate powered machine lead the Bud Points in the Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar Sportsman, but again the race for second is tight between Brett McDonald (92), AJ Flick (91), Mark Sanders (90), Mike Miller (88) and Joe Kelley (86).  McPherson has scored two wins in a row after chasing former Track Champion Bob Egley to the checkers Opening Night.

Finally, Lernerville Speedway has been selected as a Signature Track by Three Wide Media for their national subscription campaign.  Lernerville will be competing with other tracks around the country to see whose fans can sign up for the most subscriptions.  They feature three awesome monthly magazines; Flat Out is dedicated to Sprint Car racing, while Dirt Late Model Magazine and Dirt Modified Magazine are self explanatory!  Subscription cards and free can coolies will be available at the main gates each of the next few weeks while supplies last.
