Patrick Wins at Ohsweken Speedway

(June 7, 2013) –  107 drivers signed in to race on Renway “Kick Off Summer” night at Ohsweken Speedway on Friday night. Persistent drizzle didn’t keep the races from running, and Kyle Patrick, Cory Turner, Davey Boughton, and Brady Longboat from visiting Klotz Canada Synthetic Lubricants Victory Lane.

CORR/PAK MERCHANDISING SPRINT CARS
Kyle Patrick got his first feature win at Ohsweken since August 2011, followed by Dain Naida, Jim Huppunen, Scott Kreutter, and Tom Huppunen.

Heat races for the 24 car field were claimed by Kyle Patrick, Todd Hoddick, and Mitch Brown.

AFFORDABLE TOWING & RECOVERY THUNDER STOCKS
Cory Turner had to get through the B-Main to qualify for the feature, and then drove through the field for his second win in three races at Ohsweken this season. Ryan Dinning, Chris Dickie, Rob Disher, and Wyatt Van Wart rounded out the top 5.

Heat races for the 37 car field were claimed by Kevin Dawson, Kameron Kocarik, Brad Bacher, and Ryan Dinning, while Lee Winger won the B-Main.

HRW AUTOMOTIVE MINI STOCKS
Davey Boughton also scored his second win in three races this season at Ohsweken after driving through the field from row 8. Tyler Lafantaisie, Jason Lungaro, Chase Hess, and Mike Evers chased Boughton to the finish.

Heat races for the 29 car field were claimed by Doug Erskine, Jason Lungaro, and Davey Bougton, while Robin Elliott won the B-Main.

GALE’S AUTO AFTERMARKET BOMBERS
Brady Longboat won his second consecutive Bomber feature, but it was a close finish, with Tim DeBoer falling short by just a few feet. DeBoer settled for second, followed by Dusty DeBoer, Jesse McDonald, and Mark Bazuin.

Heat races for the 17 car field were claimed by Max Chechalk, and Tim DeBoer, while Dakota Potts won the B-Main.

About Ohsweken Speedway: Founded in 1996, Ohsweken Speedway is a motorsports complex which includes a 3/8 (0.375) mile clay oval track. The facility is owned by the Styres family, and located in the village of Ohsweken, Ontario, Canada. Ohsweken’s weekly Friday night racing program runs from May to September each year, featuring Sprint Cars, Thunder Stocks, Mini Stocks, and Bombers, while the season finishes each year with the annual Canadian Sprint Car Nationals.
