The URSS Sprint Cars will be joined on Saturday’s card by the IMCA Modifieds, United Wireless IMCA Sport Modifieds and IMCA Stock Cars with racing action going green at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday’s event marks the first of two consecutive weekends of Sprint Car action atop the DCRP oval with the World of Outlaws Boot Hill Showdown to follow on July 5-6.  Tickets to the Boot Hill Showdown are available at http://dirtcar.ticketforce.com/eventperformances.asp?evt=89 or by calling the track at 620-225-3277.

The URSS Sprint Cars make their second of four scheduled DCRP events this Saturday after reigning champion Brian Herbert held off rookie contender Richie Dewell and current series points leader Ray Seemann for victory honors on May 11.

Currently ranked fifth in points, Herbert will be trying to defend his hometown Dodge City turf for a second win on Saturday night.

Jetmore’s Seemann currently holds a 76-point lead over Zac Taylor in the URSS points chase with Dewell, Luke Cranston and Herbert filling out the top five.

A trio of the track’s championship chase divisions add to Saturday’s excitement with each class looking for a potential first time repeat winner in six tries.

Turpin, Oklahoma’s Cody Gearhart has moved atop the IMCA Modified point charts with a 21-point advantage over Goddard, Kansas’ Austin Allen with Jon Herring, Jr., who topped the most recent event on June 15, moving up to third.  Jesse Smith and Beau Davis round out the current top five.

Woodward, Oklahoma’s Jeff Kaup holds a 20-point lead over Clay Sellard of Bucklin, KS, in the United Wireless IMCA Sport Modifieds with Josh Appel, Matthew Crowell and Austin Walker filling out the rest of the top five.

In IMCA Stock Cars, Billy Phelps of Mooreland, OK, has built a 64-point advantage while being shut out of victory lane thus far.  Keith Riley of Larned, KS, is just four points ahead of June 15 winner Marlin Hogie in the battle for second with Brett Copeland and Dusty Witthuhn rounding out the top five.
