Ohsweken, ON – (June 27, 2013) – Ohsweken Speedway’s 18th season of racing continues this Friday, June 28 when O’Neil’s Farm Equipment presents Corr/Pak Merchandising Sprint Cars, Affordable Towing & Recovery Thunder Stocks, HRW Automotive Mini Stocks, and Gale’s Auto Aftermarket Bombers, plus the TUSA Canada West Mod-Lites.

CORR/PAK MERCHANDISING SPRINT CARS
The Sprint Cars will get back to racing for championship points this Friday, following a special challenge event with the Patriot Sprint Tour last week. 2011 champion Jim Huppunen sits atop the standings heading into the next event, with Glenn Styres, Jamie Collard, Mitch Brown, and 2012 champion Chris Steele giving chase.

AFFORDABLE TOWING & RECOVERY THUNDER STOCKS
Ryan Turner went to Klotz Canada Synthetic Lubricants Victory Lane last Friday, but his brother Cory is the driver at the top of the Thunder Stock standings. Jim Lampman, Lee Winger, Chris Dickie, and Mike Thorne also hold spots in the top 5.

HRW AUTOMOTIVE MINI STOCKS
Alex Schuts got his first career feature win last Friday, but he’s chasing Davey Boughton and Robin Elliott in the points standings. Boughton has a 23 point cushion over Elliott, with Schuts, Jason Lungaro, and Laura Hughes also in the top 5.

GALE’S AUTO AFTERMARKET BOMBERS
Max Chechalk got his first win of the season last week, and he’s only 14 points behind championship leader Dusty DeBoer. Chechalk, however, is fifth in the standings, as DeBoer holds a slim 1 point lead over Jesse McDonald, with Brady Longboat in third, just 6 points behind DeBoer, while Tim DeBoer is just 2 points behind Longboat.

TUSA CANADA WEST MOD-LITES
This Friday’s event marks the third of seven events for the TUSA Canada West Mod-Lites series, with round four scheduled for this Saturday night at South Buxton Raceway. Josh Sliter swept the first two rounds of the Canada West series, held at Merrittville Speedway on May 25, and Humberstone Speedway on May 26. Sliter will have strong competition from several former Ohsweken Speedway winners on Friday night, including Medina, New York’s Derek Wagner, and Beamsville driver Paul Klager. Other familiar contenders expected this Friday include Randy Hollingshead, Jason Corless, Jeff May, and Kory Howe, to name just a few.

NEW START TIME
Start times for weekly Friday night racing events at Ohsweken Speedway have changed for 2013. The pit gates will normally open at 5:30pm, and spectator gates will continue to open at 6:00pm, while the first race will now take the green flag at 7:30pm.
