Brandon, S.D. —  (July 1, 2013)  — Riding the momentum of a runner-up finish Sunday night at Cedar Lake Speedway (Wis.), Joey Saldana and the Motter Equipment Fatheadz Eyewear 71M team are amped up and ready to tackle the Huset’s Speedway fast 3/8-mile high banked oval Wednesday, July 3.

As the 90-race World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car schedule hits the halfway mark,

the Motter team hopes it is peaking at the perfect time.

“With a group of competitors as tough as we have on the circuit today, you have to bring your A game every night you hit the dirt,” said Saldana. “Some nights will be better than others.  We are heading into the races with the big paydays, and of course the crown jewel of our series, the Knoxville Nationals.

“We have been digging deep and we’ve succeeded in many ways, but we have more goals to accomplish this year, like challenging for the championship.  We need more consistency and more performances like Sunday night in Wisconsin where we could run with anybody.  That’s a great feeling and it gives you a lot of confidence.”

Currently the team is sixth in World of Outlaws point standings.  They have three quick times, two track records, eight top-5 and nineteen top-10 finishes on their resume this season.
