Sapulpa, OK — (July 13th, 2013) -– Mickey Walker captured the opening night win of the “Race for the Championship” tonight at the Creek County Speedway.
Walker captured his first career Champ Sprint victory tonight at the “Quick Quarter.” 17 cars took the green flag in the nights 20 lap affair. Gramm and Larkin set the pace to the drop of the green flag. Walker raced out to the early race lead, leading wire-to-wire capturing the feature win. Ricky York ran in the second spot until lap 14, when Brian McClelland got around for the second spot and was in pursuit of Walker, but ran out of laps. Ricky York ended up in the third spot, Brent Bates, and Glen Passmore rounds out the top 5.
