Port Royal, PA — (July 30, 2013) — Port Royal Speedway will present the seventh version of the Living Legends Dream Race for 410 sprint cars this Saturday night, August 3 at 7:30 pm.

This year’s Dream Race honors former driver Todd Shaffer and car owner Patty Beam as Living Legends.

They along with former Beam drivers Kevin Nouse, Chuck Reinert, Larry Jackson, Scott Gesford and TJ Stutts will sign autographs underneath the grandstand from 5:30 to 6:15 pm.

In addition, NASCAR driver Dave Blaney will appear between 5:30 and 6:30 pm, pending his arrival from Pocono Raceway before he retires to the pits to compete in the big Dream event.

This year’s total purse eclipses $55,000 with payouts slated for twin 16-lap semi mains, a non-qualifiers main and the 30-lap Dream A Main itself.

A host of sprint car talent will be in competition at the race, gathering the best in the business from all across the region at Port Royal Speedway as no other track is hosting the powerful 410 sprints against the event.

Drivers entering the event will take a chance at winning their portion of over $3,000 in contingency cash that has been posted along with over $7,000 in contingency prizes that will be given away.

Last year, current Port Royal point leader Blane Heimbach took home nearly $13,000 on his way to triumph in the event.

In 2011 Stevie Smith won the race when it was conducted as part of the Tuscarora 50 due to rain on the original date.

Chad Layton proved victorious in 2010 with other winners listed as Cody Darrah, 2009; Greg Hodnett, 2008; and Sean Michael aboard the Jim Nace No. 6 in 2007.
