(Perris, CA, August 30, 2013)  Perris Auto Speedway, “The Southern California Home of Major League Sprint Car Racing,” is pleased to announce the arrival of the first entry for the 18th Budweiser Oval Nationals, presented by All Coast Construction, on October 31st, November 1st and 2nd.  Well-liked Riverside racer “Dynamite” David Cardey, who will be driving the Tom & Lauri Sertich Moose Racing #92, is the initial entry to arrive at the track’s office.

“The arrival of the first entry always is an exciting part of our season,” promoter Don Kazarian said.  “The excitement starts to build when we make the announcement.  It gets the fans buzzing about the race.  It is great to see that the first entry is from such a popular driver who lives just a stone’s throw away from the track.”

Cardey, the 2003 California Lightning Sprint Car champion, won what is arguably the biggest victory of his career when he captured the opening night preliminary main event at the 2008 Oval Nationals.  Most insiders consider that to be the best sprint car race ever staged at the famous Riverside County clay oval.

Due to the generosity of All Coast Construction, the purse of this year’s Oval Nationals was recently enlarged by $10,000.00 and the winner of the celebrated race will take home $15,000.00.  The entire purse and a link for the entry blank are further below in this release.

The 2013 edition of the Oval Nationals will mark the 10th Anniversary of the race being sanctioned by the United States Auto Club (USAC).  The race will match the Amsoil USAC National Sprint Cars and the Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Cars on November 1st and 2nd.

This year, the Oval Nationals will return to three nights of racing as the USAC Southwest Sprint Cars and USAC West Coast Sprint Cars will square off in the first ever Oval Nationals 360 championship race on October 31st.

The California Lightning Sprint Cars and The PAS Senior Sprint Cars will also be on hand to close their 2013 seasons on November 1st and 2nd.
