On the schedule for the second consecutive season after their inaugural visit last year, Willamette Speedway played host to Craig Dollansky and the rest of the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Cars on Tuesday as the Eyecon Trail Cameras #7 team opened up the first of three consecutive nights of competition in Oregon.

With 31 drivers signed into the 1/3-mile located an hour south of Portland, the night got off to a troubling start for Dollansky as he posted the 23rd fastest lap in qualifying.  After finishing eighth in heat competition, the MobileStar Maxim was forced to run the B-Main and finished 4th in the 12-lap event to transfer into the main event.

When a red on the opening lap of the 30-lap A-Main prompted a complete restart, Dollansky gained two positions before a yellow on lap 9.  After a trio of cautions in the next four circuits put a damper on action, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ battled around the midway point of the feature with Jason Sides and Cody Darrah before a long stretch of green flag action endured until a red on lap 28.  With two laps remaining set up a green-white-checkered finish, the Aggressive Hydraulics #7 tried to find a way around Sides in the final circuits but ran 12th when the checkered flag waved.

The Eyecon Trail Cameras #7 team resumes action in Oregon tonight at Cottage Grove Speedway.
