Sprint Car Challenge Series and Mel Kenyon Midget Series Highlight “Paint the Night Pink” Championship Night at Anderson Speedway

(Lebanon, IN)  The American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign kicks off with a roar at Anderson Speedway on Saturday October 5.  Supported by the men and women of the United Auto Workers, “Paint the Night Pink” will be a treat for race fans with 9 feature races many events around the race raising money for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

 

The USSA Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW 50-lap feature and Mel Kenyon Midget Series 30-lap race are two of the highlights of the night’s race.  Both USSA Series will crown the 2013 champions following their feature events at Anderson Speedway.

 

The week’s activities will begin on Thursday with the Jessica Bean 1st Annual Karting for a Cure at Fast Times Karting facility located at 96th and Keystone in Indianapolis.  Fans and friends will have the opportunity to challenge each other and their favorite drivers on the challenging indoor karting course.  A portion of each Challenge will go to the Making Strides campaign.  Challenges for a Cure will begin at 6:30 PM.

 

Friday’s activities are limited to practice at Anderson Speedway.  Car from all nine divisions will be on the high banks from 4 PM until dark.

 

On Saturday October 5 the USSA Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW and the USSA Mel Kenyon Midget Series will join Anderson Speedway fan favorites McGunegill Late Models, NASH FM Thundercars, Front Wheel Drive Oval, Front Wheel Drive Figure 8, Thunder Roadsters, Street Stocks and the Legend Cars for a full day and night or racing excitement.  Gates for the UAW Presents American Cancer Society Making Strides to End Breast Cancer “Paint the Night Pink” Championship Night open at 2:00 PM with racing action starting at 5:00

 

In the event of rain, Sunday October 6 is the rain date.
