Trekking to the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, OH on Saturday night, Ian Madsen scored a ninth place finish against a star studded field of cars.

With 38 410’s on hand for the ‘Sprinttacular’, Madsen timed his KCP Racing No. 18 machine in fifth fastest, putting him in the third row of his heat.

Heat race action saw Madsen score a third place finish aboard his Nehring Construction/Team Kline Electric/Logan Contractor Supply entry, putting him in the Dash, where he finished in the fifth spot.

Lining up for the feature in the third row, Madsen got off to a rough start, as he slipped back to the ninth spot, on the historic ½ mile facility.

Regaining his composure, the St. Mary’s, NSW driver worked his way back forward and found himself in the sixth spot with just a few laps to go.

Making a mistake in the closing laps, Madsen slipped back to the ninth spot where he went on to finish.

“I was very pleased with how the night went considering we don’t have many laps at Eldora,” Madsen said. “I think as a team we learned a ton, and hopefully that can help us out at the World Finals.”
