The USAC National Sprint Cars will square off with the USAC/CRA forces on both nights this weekend with the LoanMart Challenge Cup Sprint Cars and Micro Sprints in action as well.  Both nights of racing action get under way at 7:00 p.m.

While the racing action will be intense on Friday and Saturday, the week’s festivities actually kick off Wednesday night as Steve Stroud and the Arizona Motorsports Hall of Fame host the Hall of Fame Kick Off Party.  Wednesday’s Kick Off Party, open to the public, gets under way at 6:00 p.m.

Following on Thursday is an open practice at CSP from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Leading the USAC National Sprint Car forces into this weekend’s Hall of Fame Classic is Noblesville, Indiana’s Bryan Clauson, who picked up six of his 22 overall wins on the 2013 season earlier in the year at Canyon Speedway Park.

Clauson is just 13 points ahead of Dave Darland in the battle for the USAC National title with two-time Western World winner Brady Bacon, Kevin Thomas, Jr., and Chase Stockon also among the top five.  Darland topped the opening night of last year’s Hall of Fame Classic.

In the USAC/CRA title chase, Damion Gardner’s return to the left coast has him 99 points ahead of stable mate Nic Faas with Mike Spencer, Bud Kaeding Matt Mitchell in the top five.

The Arizona contingent will be well-represented as well, with Yuma’s Mike Martin defending his upset victory in last year’s Hall of Fame Classic finale with current USAC Southwest points leader R.J. Johnson and 2012 Arizona champ Charles Davis, Jr., among those vying for top honors as well.
