Stockton, CA – October 24, 2013…This year’s Silver Dollar Speedway 410 track champion and Civil War 360 Sprint Car Series titlist Sean Becker will be one of the drivers set for double duty action during the 30th “Tribute to Gary Patterson” next Saturday November 2 at the Stockton Dirt Track.
The driver known as the “Shark” will be aboard the M&S Racing Products No. 27 mount with the King of the West 410 Sprint Car Series and the M&M Structures No. 35 machine during the Winged 360 Sprint Car portion of the event.
Becker raced the No. 27 Sprinter to his second consecutive and third career 410 driving championship at the Silver Dollar Speedway this year, scoring a pair of victories along the way. The veteran also picked up a big World of Outlaws preliminary victory in the car last season during the prestigious “Gold Cup Race of Champions” at SDS.

The Oroville, CA native likewise drove the Dan Monhoff owned No. 35 Sprint Car to his third career Civil War 360 Sprint Car Series title this year and captured the annual “Gold Fever Open” at Marysville Raceway Park earlier this month. Becker also guided the machine to a Civil War victory in Petaluma on September 14 and claimed the “Sherm Toller Memorial” in March at Marysville.
Becker has been one of the most accomplished drivers in Northern California over the last 10 to 15-years and is also a former Golden State/ King of the West 410 Sprint Car Series champion, having claimed the title in 2005. He also ranks ninth on the all-time series win list, sitting in a tie with Bud Kaeding, Tommy Tarlton and Ronnie Day with nine triumphs to his credit. His most recent win with the tour came back in 2010 at the Santa Maria Speedway, where he drove Brian Sperry’s No. 51 to a final lap win over Andy Gregg.
“When you look at Sean Becker you think of the great driver he is, but just as important you point to how good of a person he really is,” said Silver Dollar Speedway announcer and director of communications Troy Hennig. “Year after year Sean is one of the best drivers out here on the west coast and he’s a great representative for Sprint Car racing. He’s one of those guys that make our sport pretty special and I know we’re extremely happy to have seen him so much at Silver Dollar Speedway over the last number of seasons.”
