Friday Recap of World Finals in Charlotte

 From CDR

As November is upon us and temperatures shifting cold once again in Minnesota, the Eyecon Trail Cameras #7 team escaped the cold weather making the long haul to North Carolina to wrap up the 2013 season at The Dirt Track at Charlotte with the 7th running of the World Finals.  As one of the fastest growing events since becoming part of the schedule in 2007, the World Finals pits drivers from the Super DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds, World of Outlaws Late Models, and World of Outlaws STP Sprint Cars as a combined total of 176 cars signed into the 4/10-mile track.

With qualifying complete on Thursday, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ stopped the clock 9th fastest for Friday’s program among the 55 sprinters on hand.  Lining up inside row two for heat four, the MobileStar backed sprinter battled Brian Brown for a spot in the dash but finished 3rd in the 8-lap event to transfer into the main event.

In the 30-lap A-Main the Aggressive Hydraulics #7 started inside row nine.  When the green flag waved on the feature, Dollansky gained a pair of positions by lap 7.  Following a caution just prior to the halfway point on lap 12, a tough restart saw the Elk River, Minnesota native lose a couple positions.  With much of the field fighting for the bottom line around the track, passing became a premium and the Eaton’s Aeroquip Performance Products Maxim took the checkered flag in 18th.

The 2013 season comes to a close tonight at The Dirt Track at Charlotte with another full racing program.  Listen or watch all the action tonight live on DIRTvision.com as well as a tape-delayed CBS Sports Network broadcast on December 15th and 22nd.
