Tulsa Oklahoma (April 1, 2014) – Gone are the holiday sleepovers. Gone are the hordes of college football bowl games. Gone are the bone-chilling frozen nights that makes ones skin crack like shattered glass.  After months of sitting dormant, the time has come for the Oil Capital Racing Series 13th annual sprint car tour opener. The 2014 OCRS tour schedule is dotted with 25 action packed events at 13 racetracks covering 4 states. OCRS sprint cars will commence the opening battle of will and might at the Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore Oklahoma and the series is bringing an attitude like never seen before, along with a crop of talented drivers that are extremely eager to get their adrenalin fix. The fast and furious action will all take place this Saturday night at 7:30pm.

Several high quality OCRS Sprint teams will descend on the 3/8-mile track to wage battle in an effort to become the first team to reap victory laurels in the new year. A sampling of these drivers include: Danny Smith, Whit Gastineau, Shayla Waddell, Brian McClelland, and Gary Owens, along with a wild pack of contenders are amped up and ready to get after it.

A single-season record of 15 different winners were produced on the OCRS trail last year and largely due to the spread of wealth, OCRS has received several 2014 entry forms from teams both seasoned and new in an attempt to find that winning edge. The newcomers heading to the series in 2014 are well armed and ready to take on the OCRS veterans at their own game.
