Tulsa, OK — (April 4, 2014) — The regions of the ASCS Nation are the focus of fans this weekend with five events in Arizona, Nebraska, and Texas.

 

The Griffith Truck and Equipment Gulf South Region kicks off a two night stand at the Battleground Speedway in Highlands on Friday with the weekend dedicated to two fallen members of the racing community. Friday, April 4 is dedicated to Jay Nidever. Saturday, April 5 will be in honor of Patrick Silva. Both nights begin at 7:00 P.M. (CT).

Speedway Motors Midwest Regional action kicks off at the high-banked I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb. Postponed by a day to a Saturday/Sunday event; the “Spring Meltdown” also features the MLRA Late Models. Both nights pay $2,500 to win for the ASCS Midwest Region. Saturday, April 5 gets underway at 5:30 P.M. (CT). Sunday, April 6 begins at 5:00 P.M. (CT).

Finally, the ASCS Southwest Region rolls into the Tucson International Raceway for the first time in 2014 on Saturday, April 5. The fourth event of the year, Bob Ream, Jr. looks to extend his points lead in the Arizona based region. Events at the Tucson oval kick off at 6:30 P.M. (MST).

The 2014 season marks the twenty-third year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing for the American Sprint Car Series, which brings the best of Sprint Car racing to dozens of different tracks throughout the nation.
