Watsonville, CA – April 8, 2014…The Ocean Sprints presented by Taco Bravo are pleased to announce that the various nightly incentives, including the fast time award, hard luck award and hard charger award will continue during the 2014 racing season.

Each of the awards will pay $100 cash at all of the 15 Ocean Sprints events this year at the Ocean Speedway in Watsonville. While Ray Scheidts Electric continues their gracious support of the fast time award, a new company has stepped up to sponsor the hard charger award, with that being familiar San Jose area business High Five Pizza. Ray Scheidts Electric is owned by Rich & Steve Morin and has been the sponsor of the fast time award for the Ocean Sprints presented by Taco Bravo ever since it was introduced in 2011.

In addition to sponsoring the fast time award Ray Scheidts Electric has also sponsored various teams over the years, including Brad Furr, Keith Day Racing & was also involved with Shane Golobic’s K&N West Series efforts last season. The “Ray Scheidts Electric Fast Time Award” has become a further incentive to drivers and teams, not only for bragging rights, but for the additional cash they can pick up for turning the fastest qualifying lap of the night.

Originally founded to service a handful of small, neighboring customers, Ray Scheidts Electric now sends their truck fleet and dozens of highly qualified electricians throughout the Greater Bay Area on diverse projects for numerous companies.
