Sarver, PA — (May 1, 2014) — Mother Nature scored her first grand slam of feature wins last Friday as rain canceled the second scheduled Fast Friday of 2014 after a successful Opening Night on April 18. The weather hasn’t improved much this week, but we’ll try again to get Round Two of Fab Four Racing in the books this Friday, May 3 on Breast Cancer Awareness Night.

In a well established tradition, we will be raising funds this Friday for Breast Cancer Research by taking $5 donations in return for $5 coupons for the next Fab Four Racing program on Friday, May 16. The Finest Race Fans in the World donated over $1,100 last year and we hope to beat that total this season!

The Precise Racing Products DIRTcar Late Models should be first in rotation this week with Opening Night feature winner Russ King leading Mike Pegher Jr. by two points in the Budweiser Standings. Defending Track Champion Mat Williamson leads All Time Division Wins Leader Brian Swartzlander by just one point in the Diehl Auto Group DIRTcar Northeast Big Block Modifieds, while travelers Danny Holtgraver and Logan Wagner sit tied atop the Bud points in the Peoples TWP DIRTcar Sprint Cars.

Opening Night feature winner Terry Young leads Two-Time Defending Track Champion Corey McPherson by one point in the Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar Sportsman division. Corey will have his #C33 Stock Car on display this Saturday, May 3 at Advance Auto Parts in Natrona Heights. Stop in to support Corey & the #C33 team and enter to win a pair of tickets to Fab Four Racing!

With weather likely to play a factor in this Friday’s plans, be sure to register for text alerts at www.RainedOut.com, by following us on Twitter or liking us on Facebook.

Some familiar names and faces will return to the Action Track next Friday, May 9 as former Track Champions Tim Shaffer, Dale Blaney and Danny Holtgraver lead the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions Sprints back to Lernerville Speedway for the $5,000-to-win show presented by Turner’s Premium Iced Tea. All three drivers are in new cars for the 2014 season. Holtgraver won in his Hunter Racing #10H on Opening Night in the Peoples TWP Sprint feature. Shaffer is in the Bryan Grove #45 that Holtgraver piloted in 2013 when it was co-owned by Grove and Hunter. Blaney recently scored his 100th All Star feature win in the Tony Kennedy owned, George Fisher wrenched #14K after several successful years behind the wheel of the Ti22 #2 Car. The Turner’s TeaBird will be on hand with samples pre-race and T-Shirts will be launched into the crowd!

May 9 will also be a doubleheader for the Sweeney RUSH Dirt (Crate) Late Model and Sportsman (Crate) Modified Series. The RUSH Late Models are no stranger to Lernerville’s 4/10 mile oval, but the Sportsman Mods will make their Action Track debut in their Inaugural Season. Jordan Eck, son of Late Model veteran Doug Eck, picked up the first ever RUSH Sportsman Modified Feature win at Sharon Speedway last Saturday Night.

Tickets for the three division show are just $25 for Adult General Admission, $15 for Students 11-17 and as always, kids 10 & under will be admitted FREE with a paying adult! Pit passes are $30 for DIRTcar and RUSH Members and $40 for non-members.

Kid’s Club registrations will continue this Friday night at the Stivason Photo Booth. Existing members are invited to come pick up their membership cards and lanyards and stick around to participate in a coloring contest with winners being selected to go to Sheetz Victory Lane and take a ride in the #1 Cochran Ram Pace Truck!

Our friends at Tables on the Green at Brackenridge Heights Country Club continue to host Thursday Night Lernerville Pre-Race Parties. Previous season’s/week’s races are shown on the big screen with drink specials and ticket giveaways. We are also planning on a few driver appearances in the near future.

In an update to last week’s announced promotional nights, Armed Forces Night has been moved to Friday, May 23 (Memorial Day weekend) and Fire, Police & EMS Night has been moved to Friday, June 6. We apologize for any inconvenience this change has caused.

Hard as it may seem to believe, we are less than two months from Firecracker 100 weekend presented by GottaRace.com! Tickets are on sale 24/7 by clicking the “Buy Tickets” tab on our website Lernerville.com. Forget the flowers, Mom really wants Firecracker tickets!

Fan Favorites Justin Fabus Band (Thursday Night), Vanessa Campagna and NOMaD (Friday Night) are scheduled to return for Firecracker Post-Race concerts in the Parking lot. Justin sang the National Anthem on Opening Night and Froggy Radio – 104.3 or 95.5 depending on where you live in Western Pennsylvania – is playing Vanessa’s new song What’s it Gonna Take. Call to request it often and then see her perform it LIVE Firecracker Friday Night!
