Port Royal, PA — (May 3, 2014) — The 410 sprints were on the track, formed up and ready for the feature green flag when a second bout of rain on the night struck Port Royal Speedway on Saturday evening, forcing postponement of the main events.

Postponed along with the 410 sprint feature were mains for the super late models and the 305 sprint cars.

Make up dates for the three feature events will be announced in the near future.

Nine quick heats were spun off after early evening rain pushed the start of the show until nearly 8:30pm.

Heats for the 22 410 sprints on hand went to Davey Sammons, Curt Stroup and Mike Wagner.

Wagner set a new eight-lap track record in his qualifier with a time of 2:06.260, eclipsing the old mark set by Mark Coldren last season.

Super late heats for the 21-car field on hand went to Mitch Hack, Mike Lupfer and Bud Phillips.

And a trio of 305 sprint qualifiers for a 27-car field went to  Kody Lehman, Eric Parker and Anthony Fiore.

Upon a make up date, the 410 sprint main will go to the post with Rodney Westhafer and Justin Barger on the front row.

Mitch Hack and Matt Parks will share the front row for the super late model make up and Eric Parker and Kyle Lloyd will have the front row for the 305 feature.

Port Royal Speedway will present Lake Chevrolet Mother’s Night next Saturday, May 10 at 7 pm featuring a program of 410 sprints, super late models and 355 econo late models.

General admission for all mothers attending the program will be priced at just $10.
