ROCHESTER, NY, (May 5, 2014)- Dreary spring conditions have halted the start of the Patriot Sprint Tour Season the last two Saturdays but get ready for action this weekend with a stop at one of the tour’s most unpredictable venues.

The Patriot Sprint Tour America Tour makes a trip this Saturday at the high-banked Woodhull Raceway for the first of two visits to Ted White’s Facility in 2014.  Since the first PST event there in 2007 it has become a track that many on the tour look forward to each time it comes up on the calendar.

Chuck Hebing is the winningest driver in series history at Woodhull.  “The Cobra” has five wins on the 1/3-mile oval and will look to add to his record-high win total.

Of late, Bryan Howland and Justin Barger have been the top names at Woodhull.  Howland has scored a pair of victories in the last three seasons and has only finished outside of the top 5 once in 11 starts.

Defending PST Champion Jared Zimbardi has never showed a great affinity for racing at Woodhull, but his fourth place finish there last August may be a sign that the 2-time series champ may be turning things around.

2011 PST America Champion Scott Kreutter has always run well at Woodhull and leads a list of impressive candidates to score their first win at the Steuben County Bullring.  Don Adamczyk, Geoff Quackenbush, Shawn Donath, Kyle Drum and Steve Collins have also fared well on the paperclip-shaped oval and are looking forward to the event.

Perhaps no driver is looking forward to a return to the track more than George Suprick.  The 2004 PST Champion will be getting behind the wheel of his familiar No. 87 for the first time in nearly a year this Saturday and will be doing so at a track he won at two times back in the 90’s.

A healthy force of PST regulars like Brad Knab, Steven Hutchinson Jr., Brandan Warner, Dave and Scott Just, John Sheldon Smith, Derek Jonathan, Clint Ide, Dave Wickham, Todd Hoddick, Bruce DeWick and Jamie Bodo are expected along with series newcomer Dennis Wagner and 360 rookies Tyler Graves, Parker Evans and Dane Lorenc.

Woodhull is located on County Route 102 just north of State Route 417.  Racing will start at 6:45 P.M.  For more information, visit www.PatriotSprintTour.com.
