 Lincoln Speedway Tease 2014

At Lincoln Speedway, a must-see racing event presented by MACH 1 occurs on Wednesday, June 4 with a super doubleheader event. On this special evening in the “pigeon hills”, the two oldest Sprint Car organizations, USAC and URC will be showcased for the first time ever on the same program.

After a two year absence, the Amsoil USAC Non-Wing Sprint Cars return to the famed track in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania in what will be the second stop of their eighth annual Eastern Storm tour.  In the last AMSOIL USAC Sprint Car event at Lincoln Speedway, Levi Jones, who retired from racing in June 2013, held off a late race charge by Bryan Clauson to claim the victory.  On June 4 on the 3/8 mile dirt oval, Clauson, Brady Bacon, Dave Darland, Tracy Hines, and a host of other hot shoes will do battle in a 30-lap main after time trials and qualifying races.

The exciting two-division show includes the URC Sprint Cars in a 360/358 Super Series contest. The stars of the URC traveling series of 360 Sprints will be joined by many of the top wheelmen from the 358 Sprint Car circuit in Central Pennsylvania for a 25-lap feature. Curt Michael, URC’s eight time champion is a previous feature winner in a 410 sprint at Lincoln, so he’s expected to be a top contender for the win along with Josh Weller,  Robbie Stillwaggon, Davie Franek, Ed Aikin,  Eric Riggins with Mark Smith and his MACH 1 Chassis expected to do double duty.

On Wednesday, June 4, all gates open at 5:00 PM with racing getting underway at 7:30 PM. Grandstand admission is  $25  for adults ,  $20 for Students 12 -17,  $10 for children 6-11 and children under the age of 6 will be admitted free.   The pit fee will be $30 and a pit license will not be required.

Lincoln Speedway is a very popular and “fan friendly” track in the tri-state area, offering great unobstructed viewing from every seat in the grandstands.   The infield is open for watching the races by entering through the fourth turn tunnel.  The slightly elevated asphalt pits have great lighting which allows the fans to watch all of the pit action as well.  The three-eighth mile Lincoln Speedway offers it all, the high speeds that you would see at the “big tracks” with the flair and excitement of the short track “bull rings”.
