ASCS Frontier Region kicks off this weekend at the Electric City Speedway

TULSA, Okla. (May 13, 2014) – The ASCS Frontier Region kicks off their second season of racing this Friday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17 at the Electric City Speedway in Great Falls, Mont.

The track’s 62nd year of racing, this weekend marks the first two of a scheduled eight stops for the ASCS Frontier Region at the Electric City Speedway in 2014. In seven events completed in 2013, three drivers emerged victorious.

 

Phil Dietz enters as the defending champion of the Montana based region, edging out Idaho racing veteran Joe Ramaker by 55 points to earn the region’s inaugural title.

 

Friday and Saturday, gates open 6:00 P.M. with racing scheduled to begin at 7:30 P.M. (MT). The weekend will also include WISSOTA Street Stocks, Modifieds, and Super Stocks. For more information on the Electric City Speedway, log onto http://www.electriccityspeedway.com or call 406-727-4884.

 

Overall, 73 drivers took part in at least one event in the 2013 opening season with eight drivers claiming victory. Only three drivers earned multiple victories with Joe Ramaker taking the lions share with eight.

 

Mike Quigley will again head the Frontier Region, as well as maintain the Billings Motorsports Park.
