Window World, America’s largest home improvement company  will be part of the celebration on Sunday night, May 25 for the opening night of the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series 25th Anniversary season at the Grandview Speedway.  The Lucky 7 racing program will offer seven features to include a pair of 358 Modified features, two URC sprint features, plus single features for the ARDC Midgets, Sportsman and Legends cars all getting underway at 7:30 PM.

Window World will join lead series sponsor NAPA Auto Parts along with Pioneer Pole Buildings, Galco Business Communications and  Middleswarth & Sons Potato Chips  Sunday night, May 25 at Grandview with the season opener for Thunder on the Hill.  This will mark the 110th Thunder event in its’ twenty-fifth season.
Along with the popular features only program, the fun will get underway at 4 PM with a FANFEST for the first five hundred spectators entering the grandstand.  Free hot dogs, Middleswarth Chips and soda plus music by DJ Outlaw plus Trivia.   There will also be Pit Tours (sign up at the main gate)  and plenty of fun and games.   Also planned is  a Meet & Greet to include  modified driver Terry Meitzler, URC driver Ed Aikin, ARDC driver Brent Arndt, Sportsman driver Joe Funk and Legend driver Rick Miller.  And don’t forget, sign up for  Inside/Out so you may watch the warm-ups from the turn four infield.
The features only program is a favorite for the fans, eliminating all the qualifying and opening the racing event with the first of seven features.  More then 100 cars will take part in this five divisions, seven 25 lap feature extravaganza.
Modified entries include Doug Manmiller, Craig VonDohren, Kevin Hirthler, Kyle Weiss, Jared Umbenhauer, Billy Pauch Jr., Frank Cozze, MeMe DeSantis, and Jeff Strunk.  URC entries include Ed Aikin, Curt Michael, the “Carolina Kid” Eric Riggins, Davie “No Panic” Franek, The Wild Child Josh Weller, Brian Carber, Randy West,  Jason Clauss and Billy Pauch Jr.   In the ARDC Midgets, expect Trevor Kobylarz, Steve Drevicki, Billy Pauch Jr.,  Bruce Buckwalter Jr. and Kyle Lick.   On the  Sportsman roster is Brett Kressley,  Brian Hirthler, Kenny Gilmore, Craig Whitmoyer, Dean Bachman and Dave Dissinger.  The Legend feature line-up will include Keith Haring, Travis Perry, Chris Ward and David Miller just to name a few.
Gates open at 4 PM for the first 500 spectators with the first of seven features getting underway at 7:30 PM.   In the event of rain, Sunday night, May 26 will be the rain date and carry a 6 PM starting time.

Grandview Speedway is a high-banked one-third mile clay oval, celebrating their 52nd  Anniversary season in 2014.   The facility offers free parking,  quality food at reasonable prices (be sure to try the french fries), a program book, Grandview Speedway and Thunder on the Hill race wear and great viewing from every seat in the house.  Race fans may take part in the Inside/Out promotion, where you can sign up (no charge) to watch warm-ups from  inside turn four.  Race fans are also invited to victory lane following the racing program and, race fans may enter the pits after the races to meet the drivers.   Be ready to enjoy the spine tingling fireworks salute on the feature event parade lap.
