Tulsa Oklahoma (July 10, 2014) – Officials with the Oil Capital Racing Series and the Osage Casino Caney Valley Speedway have elected to make the previously scheduled August 30th date an AmeriFlex Hose & Accessories ‘Non-Wing’ OCRS sprint car event. The originally scheduled non-wing event at the ¼-mile track was rained out on May 24th.

This change on Labor Day weekend creates the third AmeriFlex Hose & Accessories non-wing event for the season and provides fans of OCCVS an opportunity to witness both styles of sprint car racing for 2014. “OCRS is very appreciative to Kerry Gorby (track promoter) for working with our series in making this change,” said OCRS president Barry Grabel. “OCRS has some sponsor commitments to fulfill in offering non-wing sprint car racing to the schedule and Gorby is not only assisting OCRS in this matter, but is also providing his fan base with a style of racing that they will enjoy.” OCCVS had a packed house this past Saturday night for OCRS sprints.

2013 OCRS champion Harli White gave OCCVS fans their monies worth and more when she won last years OCCVS non-wing race from the 12th starting position while runner-up Tim Kent also stormed his way through the field having started in the 11th position. Chance Morton won the first AmeriFlex Hose & Accessories non-wing event of 2014 at the West Siloam Speedway and current OCRS point leader Danny Smith took the second topless affair at the South Coffeyville Speedway.
