Here are some of the leftovers from the past week on T.J.’s notebook.

  • The All Stars might be embarking on a plains tour that is more of a whimper than thunder. As of now only Dale Blaney and Jac Haduenschild making the trip out west of the teams that have been running the entire tour. Look for the teams staying behind to do a mix of racing throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania along with going out to Knoxville Raceway to tune up for the Nationals.
  • The Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt presented by ARP event will present their 800th event on Saturday at Crystal Motor Speedway during the Mike Olrich Memorial. With the event co-sanctioned with the K&L Ready Mix National Racing Alliance it should be one of the bigger sprint car programs in Michigan this season.
  • Pavement sprint car driver Ryan Litt will make his Silver Crown debut later this month Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis driving for 6r racing.
  • The Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series headi to Wayensfield Raceway Park, a track that regularly has enough cars for a B-Main, combined with a good group of BOSS regulars should make for an incredible program on Saturday.   Best part is admission is only $12.00. This could be a great chance to a see a non-wing sprint car race if you have not this season.
  • Spartan Speedway gains two cars on Friday as JoJo Helberg will be at Spartan Speedway as a teammate to Steve Smith.
  • Many in the industry are watching a lawsuit from former driver John Westbrook against Williams Grove Speedway.  Jeremy Elliott from the Patriot News has a good look at what the lawsuit entails and how many in the industry are watching it.
