Sarver, PA (August 20, 2014) – Many racers find that success early in the season leads to a lull later in the year, but the opposite has been true for Carl Bowser. The Bowser Motorsports #10 team picked up their fifth Peoples TWP win of the 2014 season and the second in the month of August on Friday, August 15th at Lernerville Speedway.
With the victory over Danny Holtgraver and Logan Wagner, Bowser was also able to clinch the 2014 Lernerville Speedway Track Championship. This is the team’s second championship.
“It’s a really nice bonus to be able win the championship by winning the race,” Bowser said. “We’ve had a consistent car all year long which is important for points, but we’ve also been consistently up front and it’s nice when the results show it.”
Another bonus was having many of Carl’s marketing partners on hand, including Turner Dairy Farms, who sponsored the night at Lernerville. Carl and members of the crew were able to treat Turner’s employees and guests to an appearance before the races at their company tailgate party.
“We had a lot of fun meeting some of the great people at Turner’s tonight before the races,” Bowser said. “But I think it was more fun to have a post-race celebration with them in Victory Lane.”
On Saturday night, the team headed north to Mercer Raceway Park, where Bowser earned a third place finish from his eighth place starting position. It was Bowser’s fifth top-five of five finishes at the Mercer oval.
Bowser also earned victories on May 2nd, June 6th and June 13th, and August 1st. Friday’s win was Bowser’s 20th career victory and his 14th at Lernerville Speedway.
The team is scheduled to attend the final night of Fab Four racing at Lernerville Speedway on Friday and join the All Star Circuit of Champions at Mercer Raceway Park on Saturday and Sunday nights for a two-day show. Other upcoming races include Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, Attica Raceway Park and Wayne County Speedway in August.
