Sun Prairie, Wis., August 31— Indianapolis’ Tyler Courtney won the 30-lap Zimbrick Chevrolet of Sun Prairie/Mid-State Equipment Badger Midget Series feature Sunday Night at Angell Park Speedway. Courtney became the fifth first-time feature winner at the track this season.
Colten Cottle took the lead at the start, followed by Courtney. The caution appeared on Lap 4 for a slowing car. Courtney passed Cottle for the lead one lap after the restart. Fourth place running Brandon Waelti slowed on the eighth lap bringing out another caution.
An excessive amount of oil and fluids from his car, caused the event to be stopped for track surface clean-up.  Courtney pulled away from the field on the restart, and held a 2.2 second advantage over Cottle at the midway point.
Fast qualifier Parker Price-Miller passed Cottle for second place, with ten laps remaining, one lap later Price-Miller jumped the cushion in Turn 3, and suffered a flat tire bringing out he caution.
On the restart Courtney easily pulled away from Cottle and the rest of the field. Courtney driving the Hans Lein owned DRC/Stanton SR-11 No. 2 finished 4.96 seconds ahead of Cottle, with Scott Hatton, David Gough and David Budres completing the top five.
“To win here is big, the track has so much history, Hans Lein and everyone on the team had the car perfect” commented Courtney who became the 141st different midget feature winner in the tracks 68-year history.
Earlier in the night Cottle won the 12th annual 6-lap Dave Schulenberg Memorial Dash, collecting a $600 first prize from a $2,375 purse.
Series points leader Brandon Sletten won the  20-lap Badger 600 Micro Series Feature. Sletten passed leader Will Gerrits in lapped traffic with five laps remaining to become the fourth leader of the event.
