Tulsa Okla. (September 25, 2014) – While the OCRS Manufactures Performance Rankings prsented by Sprintdudes.com finds the chassis and engine builder categories wrapped up, the remaining events march onward with the next to last Oil Capital Racing Series event coming this Saturday night at the Outlaw Motorsports Park in Oktaha OK.  As previously reported in the last MPR release, Eagle Motorsports and STK Racing Engines will be honored at the 2014 OCRS awards banquet for their achievements in their respective categories.

Fred Mattox won the 8th Annual Oklahoma State Championship event at Oklahoma Sports Park in the last outing for the open wheel warriors on September 13th (OCRS was on a siesta last weekend). Mattox, who started the season in a XXX chassis, pulled out a former Maxim chassis and scored a hard fought win in an event he was close to earning a couple of times. Like they say: Never Give Up.

Mattox’s win gives Maxim 5 main event victories for the year. Eagle still leads the victory charts with 7 scores. There is a tight race for second place in the rankings as Maxim and XXX are tied with 46 points each. A.R.T. Enterprises lurks next in line with 39 points.

Mattox also used a Dyno Services of Oklahoma power plant to give DSO their second win of the season. Danny Smith, currently second in points, scored a win earlier in the year with DSO horsepower. STK Racing Engines has 8 trips to victory lane between three drivers: Alex DeCamp (5), Chance Morton (2) and Kade Morton.

DSO has secured second spot in the 2014 rankings with their 46 points while Wornhor Engines (31), Wesmar Racing Engines (28), Fode Engines (25) and Brand Racing Engines (24) all have an opportunity to make some late moves with a maximum best 10 points still on the table to end the season.

MPR points are awarded on a 5-4-3-2-1 point scale based on the top five A-Feature finishers. Only the highest finishing result per manufacture in the chassis and engine categories per event are awarded MPR points. For example, if brand X has two or more cars in the top five of the A-feature, MPR points are only awarded to the highest brands finisher for each category.
