Plymouth, IN — (January 25, 2015) — Plymouth Speedway made a major announcement on Saturday night at their season ending awards banquet that the World of Outlaws would visit the 3/8-mile facility for the first time on October 17th. The announcement was made by track owner Ed Kennedy to a capacity audience at the banquet that included guest speaker Doug Wolfgang.
The announcement of the Outlaw date should cap off an ambitious facility improvement project including a new aluminum grandstand, deck, and all new clay for the racing surface. Plymouth Speedway opened in 1952 as a blacktop race track. In 2013 a dirt track was placed into the infield before converting the entire racing surface for dirt in 2014.
