SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Selinsgrove Speedway’s 70th year celebration will feature a variety of open wheel and stock car events with 27 race dates dotting the 2015 schedule.

The season kicks off with the track’s annual Motorsports Show at the Susquehanna Valley Mall in Hummels Wharf Sunday, March 1 through Friday, March 6. Teams interested in placing their race cars in the show please call 570.523.8420 before Feb. 25.

Racing at the historic half-mile clay oval starts Saturday, March 14, with the annual Race of Champions (RoC) Ice Breaker 40 for big block modifieds paying $5,000 to win. Also on the opening day 2 p.m. racing card will be the sportsman modifieds. The rain date, if needed, will be Sunday, March 15.

The first regular show of the season featuring the Mach 1 Chassis 360 sprint cars, Jeff’s Auto Body & Recycling Center super late models, and A&A Auto Stores pro stocks and roadrunners will be spun off at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 4.

Weekly racing will continue through mid-September with the United Racing Club (May 2, June 6, June 20, Aug. 1), Empire Super Sprints (April 11, May 16), and Patriot Sprint Tour (June 13) joining the track’s 360 sprint cars for several Saturday night stops during the season.

On Saturday, May 9, the speedway will host “Pack The Track Night” featuring $5 general admission for adults and students for a complete four-division racing program! Kids 11 years of age and younger are admitted FREE in the grandstand and bleacher areas for every event at Selinsgrove Speedway again this year.

The speedway’s three crown jewel events, the National Open races for the 360 sprint cars (June 20), super late models (Sept. 6), and 410 sprint cars (Sept. 19) will each pay $10,000 to win.

Mach 1 Chassis of Mechanicsburg will be the title sponsor of the 15th annual 360 sprint car National Open, with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series returning to sanction the 17th annual Jeff’s Auto Body & Recycling Center Late Model National Open weekend Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 5-6. The 33rd annual 410 sprint car Open will again honor the memory of former five-time sprint car champion Jim Nace.

The 410 sprint cars will also compete at Selinsgrove in the Ray Tilley Classic May 24 and Jan Opperman/Dick Bogar Memorial PA Speedweek Finale July 5. The popular super sportsman and 305 sprint cars will join the 410 sprint cars on each of those programs to round out the open wheel tripleheaders.

Selinsgrove Ford, the speedway’s official pace truck sponsor, will also be the title sponsor of the second annual Kramer Cup for 360 sprint cars Aug. 1. The $2,573-to-win sprint car race, a tribute to the late Hall of Fame driver Kramer Williamson, will be preceded by the Selinsgrove Market Street Race Car Parade at 4 p.m. Teams interested in participating in the race car parade please contact Kelly Long at 570.374.8131.

Selinsgrove Raceway Park, the one-fifth mile track located inside of Selinsgrove Speedway’s half-mile oval, will feature weekly go kart racing as part of its 15th anniversary season. The go kart racing season opens Friday, April 3, and will include 31 race dates through Friday, Sept. 25.

The Burris Racing Tire (April 19, May 17, June 21, July 11-12) and Maxx Daddy (May 22-23) Series will sanction several special events. The July 11 Burris Money Series National Open for go karts will pay $10,000 to win!
