Trail-Way Speedway gearing up for 34-event season

Hanover, PA — (March 11, 2015) — Racing for the first time since the passing of family patriarch Armin Hostetter, Trail-Way Speedway will open the gates for its 43rd racing season on Saturday afternoon, March 21st.

The first two events will start at 1 p.m. featuring the 600cc and 270cc winged sprints along with the Central Pa Legend cars. All three divisions will run a total of ten Trail-Way races during the 2015 racing season.

The popular Limited Stocks and Classic Cars will join the micro-sprints for the March 28th show.

The A.M.A. motorcycles will run the first of three 2015 Trail-Way races on Sunday, March 29th beginning at 1 p.m. The other two A.M.A. shows will be on Saturday night, June 6th (The Fourth Annual Armin Hostetter Classic) and September 12th. The high-flying headlining Hoosier Racing Tires 358 Winged Sprints will debut on Friday night, April 3rd. It will be the first of 20 scheduled appearances for the 358 sprinters, and the first of 19 scheduled events for the Street Stocks. Joining those two divisions on April 3rd will be the Central PA Legends and Limited Stocks.

The Hostetter family has announced that all 358 sprint teams that make an appearance during either of the first two shows will receive two $20 Insinger Fuels certificates which can be claimed at the track’s fuel trailer.

The Precise Racing Products Limited Late Models will run the first of seven races at the T-W on Friday, May 1st and concluding their Lincoln/Trail-Way point series Saturday, October 3rd with the running of the17th Annual “Thunder on the Farm.”

The ever-popular Junk Car Demolition race will include a Limited Stock Championship, Figure 8’s, and Powder Puff racing on August 29th.

The 358’s will finish the season with the $2,000-to-win Trone Outdoor Championship on September 11th.

Friday night gates will open at 5 p.m., with practice starting at 7:45 p m.

The final race for the micro sprints will be the 26th running of the Kevin Gobrecht Memorial on Saturday, September 19th. The 29-weekend season will conclude on Saturday, October 17th with the 13th Annual Kart Klassic featuring karters from all over the East Coast.

The 43rd season awards banquet will be held on Saturday December 12th at the Southeastern Adams Volunteer Emergency Services Hall at 6:30 p.m.

Also mark your calendar for the 38th annual Motorama Races and Show at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex February 20 and 21, 2016.

Weather permitting, the first event on the 2015 schedule is actually an open practice scheduled for this coming Saturday, March 14th. The practice session is open to any race team that races on dirt ovals in Central PA and Northern Maryland. The cost is $40 per driver, including a pit pass. There is a $10 fee for anyone else entering the pits, and general admission to the grandstands is free. Gates open at noon and practice will begin at 1 p.m.
