Ryan Bernal of Hollister, Calif. will lead the USAC West Coast Sprint cars to Keller Auto Speedway at Kings Fairgrounds in Hanford, Calif. March 28, the next stop for the series.

Bernal emerged from a seven-point lead over Danny Faria Jr. after a pair of races last weekend at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif. Bernal finished a disappointing 15th Friday but came back Saturday in his Tri-L Mandarin Ranch/Core Power ART/S & S to take Saturday night’s 30-lap feature at the 3/8-mile dirt oval.

Bernal passed Richard Vander Weerd on lap 14 and led the final 17 laps for the win. Colby Copeland took second ahead of Danny Faria Jr., Bud Kaeding and Vander Weerd, the 2015 USAC/CRA Sprint point leader. Trey Marcham led the first four laps and Vander Weerd led the next nine before yielding to Bernal.

Kaeding, of Campbell, Calif., won Friday night’s 30-lapper. He passed Danny Faria Jr. on lap 14 and led the final 17 laps for the win in his Buster & Ziggy Enterprise/Kaeding Performance Maxim/Reitz. Faria took second at the checkered flag ahead of Landon Hurst, Copeland and Austin Liggett.
