Meyers to fill in for Johnson during Outlaws West Coast swing

Calistoga, CA — (April 10, 2015) — Jason Johnson Racing announced on Friday that former World of Outlaws sprint car champion Jason Meyers will fill in for driver and team owner Jason Johnson for the remainder of the spring west coast swing. Johnson was injured on Wednesday night in a crash at Placerville Speedway. Meyers will begin driving duties for JJR Saturday at Calistoga Speedway.

Meyers ran select shows on the west coast for Tommy Tarlton Racing and a handful of races in the Midwest for CH Motorsports during the 2014 season. Meyers won a preliminary night feature last year during the Trophy Cup. Saturday at Calistoga will be Meyers first start of the 2015 season.
