Perris, CA — (April 15, 2015) — Fans attending this Saturday’s “So Cal Showdown” at Perris Auto Speedway will have a rare chance to see two of North America’s premiere sprint car series and many of the top stars in the nation racing on the same racetrack on the same night. The legendary World of Outlaws, who will be making their only Southern California appearance of 2015, and the Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Cars will be racing together for only the second time ever. Fans who order advance reserved tickets for the rarely seen doubleheader will receive a free “World of Outlaws Fan Pit Pass.” Those tickets can be ordered via phone or online at 1-877-395-8606 or http://dirtcar.ticketforce.com/ordertickets.asp?p=558&backurl=default.asp In addition to advance tickets, there will be plenty of tickets available for everyone at the track on race night.

The two series first appeared together last year at Perris Auto Speedway. The success of the show made it a no brainer to do it again. Both the World of Outlaw’s and the USAC/CRA Series are comprised of cars with 410 cubic inch engines. The chassis’ and most of the components on the cars are virtually the same with the exception of the large wings the World of Outlaws cars have on top of the roll cage and on the nose of the car. The result is two different racing styles.

“We ran the two groups together last year for the first time the fans loved it,” promoter Don Kazarian said. “They were able to see the back em’ in, side by side style of the traditional USAC sprint cars and the amazing drive it in hard speed of the World of Outlaws. The fans thought it was incredible and they let us know they wanted to see that show again so we are giving them their chance on Saturday. It will be the only time fans can see these two special groups racing together all season long.”

In addition to it being the one and only time to see the World of Outlaws race with USASC/CRA this year, it will be the last time to see the Outlaws in Southern California for the year as well. After Saturday’s event, they head east to Mesquite, Texas for a race the following weekend and they will not be back in Southern California until 2016.

“Fans will get to see some of the all-time greats of the sport in each series this weekend,” Kazarian said on Monday. “Guys like multi-time champions Donny Schatz (6-time Outlaw champ), Mike Spencer (5-time USAC/CRA champ), Damion Gardner (3-time USAC/CRA champion) and Jason Meyers (2-time and the only World of Outlaws champ from California). Then you throw in stars like Brad Sweet, Matt Mitchell, last year’s PAS winner Joey Saldana, Jake Swanson, Brody Roa, Shane Stewart, Kerry Madsen, the Williams brothers and more. Great opportunity to see two groups of great drivers and cars all in one night.”

In addition to the Outlaws and USAC/CRA, The PAS Senior Sprints will be in action. The fifth year series is comprised of drivers 45-years-old and older. The drivers who won the first four championships in the series, Bill Badger (2011), Bruce Douglass (2012 & 2014) and Rick Hendrix (2013), will all be in action on Saturday.

Spectator gates will open at 4:00 PM with racing at 7:00. Fans who have a “World of Outlaws Fan Pit Pass” will be admitted to the World of Outlaws pits where they can see the cars up close, meet the drivers, get autographs and buy team merchandise all night long.
