SPEED SPORT seeks out the very best American Real motorsports action across the country from midgets and Supermodifieds, to off-road trucks and motorcycles.

This year SPEED SPORT will treat fans to broadcasts of the Novelis Supermodified Jim Shampine Memorial 75, the ISMA Supermodified Irish Jack Murphy Memorial 50, the $10,000 to win Mr. Novelis Supermodified main event, as well as the prestigious 59th running of the Budweiser International Classic 200.

Each program will be tape delayed and one hour in length.  Air dates will be announced shortly.

Both the Shampine and Murphy Memorials will take place at Oswego Speedway on May 23 as a part of the Port City 160 ‘Super Spectacle’ featuring the Novelis Supermodifieds and ISMA Supermodifieds on the same card at the same track for the first time in over ten years.

The Mr. Novelis Supermodified will take place on August 1 with the Budweiser International Classic running on September 6.

All events will also be made available LIVE, online, through the Speedway’s www.asphaltvision.com live streaming feed, presented by SPEED SPORT.

All MAVTV broadcasts will once again be led in the booth by veteran motorsports personality, Ralph Sheheen.
“National Speed Sport News is the most trusted name in American motorsports journalism and our partnership with MAVTV allows us to put NSSN and American grassroots racing in millions of households every week,” said Sheheen. “These programs will be a positive step for race fans thirsting for more motorsports coverage, and we are excited to continue our partnership with Oswego Speedway.”

Derek Pernesiglio, last year’s pit road reporter for all of Oswego’s events on MAVTV, will move to the booth to join Sheheen in calling the action.

With Pernesiglio moving upstairs, Oswego Speedway PR Director and former Novelis Supermodified competitor Dan Kapuscinski, will handle pit road duties for all four broadcasts.

“Oswego Speedway is honored to continue this great partnership with SPEED SPORT and MAVTV to bring Supermodified racing and the ‘Steel Palace’ to millions of homes across the country,” said Kapuscinski.  “All four broadcasts will serve as tremendous examples of the magnificent and wildly unique weekly program we run here in Oswego every Saturday night.  We are very excited to showcase our state of the art Supermodified division at its best, a division you can see no place else on the planet in our form.”

MAVTV is available through several providers including Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Verizon, Charter, Dish, and DirecTV.

MAV\TV features all things in American Real Motorsports including ASCS Sprint Car Racing, ATV Pro MX, and The Dave Despain Show.
