Edmonton, AB — (July 4, 2015) — Skylar Gee won the Gold Cup Saturday night at Castrol Raceway. The win was Gee’s first victory in Western Canada’s biggest 360 sprint car event.
Casey Adams led from the pole position at the green until Matt Desseault took the lead from Adams on lap eight. Travis Rilat also moved into the second spot. Gee moved up 11th starting spot to pass Rilat for second on lap 17 and took the lead from Desseault on lap 21. Gee then led the remaining five laps for the victory.
