The Myers Engine URSS National Series will kick off this weekend with $25,000.00 in total Purse monies to be handed out this weekend to kick off the Month of Money and the chase for the Myers Engine National Championship.
With seven National Points races between July 10th and August 1st ranging from the tight confines of the ¼ mile “Rush County Speedway Bullring” at LaCrosse to the lightning fast Historic ½ Mile of the world famous Belleville Highbanks the Rebel’s skills will be put to the test.
Friday night the URSS Rebels return to Wakeeney Speedway with the show paying $1,000.00 to win, $200.00 to start the A Feature. So far in 2015 Jeff Radcliffe and Zach Blurton have taken the checkers in the first two trips to the 3/8’s mile oval. Look for a stellar field of racers to be vying for the first of the expanded payout races with winner walking away with a $1,000.00 payday.
Saturday night the Rebels head to the 3/8’s mile oval at RPM Speedway for night number one of the Wheatshocker Nationals. In their first visit Liberal’s Steven Richardson looked to be running away from the field until a cut down right rear on lap twenty cost him the victory. Jed Werner and Koby Walters put on a show as the pair waged an epic battle with Walters picking up the win. Saturday Preliminary purse is the standard URSS payout of $500.00 to win/ $125.00 to start.
Sunday night is the big Wheatshocker Nationals Finale as the Rebels will be battling it out for the big $2,000.00 to win payday. The A Feature qualifiers will be guaranteed $200.00 to start the Wheatschocker Nationals A Main. Look for the racing action to be hot and heavy as drivers from across the region come to this weekend’s events to grab the cash in the first three races of the “Month of Money!”
An added bonus for the racer who has the highest point total after this weekend’s three Myers Engines URSS Nation Points Series races will pick up a custom designed Ozark Mountain Pellet Smoker Grill, along with a set of grill grates to go with it, courtesy of S&W Supply/Federated Auto Parts out of Hays Ks. We want to thank Lance Pittman and S&W SUPPLY for this great prize for our competing drivers.
The following weekend, on Saturday and Sunday July 18th and 19th, the National tour will visit the Dawson County Speedway in Lexington Ne. This will be first and only visit this year to the big wide 3/8 mile oval. Many drivers are looking forward to this race as this is one of their favorite tracks on the circuit. Sunday’s race also pays $1000 to win with $200 to start.
Then two weekends later the Rebels hit the famed Bullring Nationals on July 31st at the Rush County Speedway in LaCrosse, KS for another $1000 to win show on the ¼ mile “Bullring”. This race has become one of the most anticipated and exciting races of the season. The month of Money then concludes the following night, Aug 1st at the famed Belleville Highbanks for the Belleville Nationals. The winner of this event will collect another $2000 to win with $300 to start the main event.
