– Elk Grove, CA product, Greg DeCaires, celebrated in 48th birthday in style on Saturday night as he picked up his sixth win of the season aboard the Dale and Tara Miller owned No. 4SA machine.

“I have a lot of people to thank for giving me the opportunity to do this, with the sponsors we have backing us, the crew, and especially Dale and Tara Miller,” DeCaires said.

Timing the Dale Miller Plumbing and Septic/Foothill 7 TV/RedHawk No. 4SA machine in sixth fastest, DeCaires would capitalize on his front row starting position in his heat race as he picked up the win and earned a place in the Top-Eight redraw.

Pulling the ‘Two’, DeCaires would line up on the front row of the 25-lap A Main event alongside Kirt Organ. With Organ getting the jump, DeCaires would chase after him, though Organ would build up a sizeable advantage during the race.

With Jimmy Trulli pressuring DeCaires for the second spot, DeCaires was able to fend off the challenge, as he closed in on the race leader on the 16th lap and took advantage of a slight bobble to power his way to the front.

With Organ staying with him for a lap, DeCaires would finally clear him and go on to pick up his sixth win of the 2015 season.

“He was pretty checked out, and I did not think the moment was going to come where I was going to able to get around him,” admitted DeCaires. “He ended up bobbling just enough that I was able to get under him and we raced side by side for a lap until I was able to clear him. That was fun.”

Greg DeCaires and the Dale Miller Motorsports team would like to thank Dale Miller Plumbing and Septic, Foothill 7 TV, RedHawk Casino, Halk Equipment Rentals, NAAKE Suspension, A.R.T. Speed Equipment, Frank’s Auto Body Shop, Hangtown Sheet Metal and Wesmar Racing Engines for their support.

2015 BY THE NUMBERS: Starts- 16, Wins- 6, Top-5’s-13, Top-10’s-15

ON TAP: While DeCaires heads to the Ocean Speedway on Saturday night, the Miller Motorsports team will not compete again until September 5th for Big Trophy Night at the Placerville Speedway.
