Ohsweken, ON — (September 2, 2015) — Ohsweken Speedway’s 20th season of racing continues this Friday, September 4 when EPIC Racewear presents Season Championship Night. The event will include the final races of the “regular season”, with extra-distance A-Features for the Corr/Pak Merchandising 360 Sprint Cars, Strickland’s GMC Crate Sprint Cars, Affordable Towing & Recovery Thunder Stocks, HRW Automotive Mini Stocks, and Gale’s Auto Aftermarket Bombers.
Season championships are on the line this Friday for all 5 weekly racing divisions. Glenn Styres has a 22 point lead over Todd Hoddick in the 360 Sprint Car division, Dylan Westbrook has a 52 point lead over Jake Brown in the Crate Sprint Car division, Dave Bailey has a 65 point lead over Wyatt Van Wart in the Thunder Stock division, Brandon Janssens has an 11 point lead over Jason Lungaro in the Mini Stock division, and Dusty DeBoer has a 31 point lead over Patrick Abrahamsson in the Bomber division.
An average of 130 drivers have signed in for each night of the 2015 season so far at Ohsweken, with the 5 weekly racing series divisions producing 33 different feature winners. CANADIAN SPRINT CAR NATIONALS PRE-ENTRY DEADLINE – SEPTEMBER 11, 2015
The deadline for competitors to receive the half-price “Early Bird” discount on their Canadian Sprint Car Nationals entry fee is September 11, 2015. “Early Bird” entries also permit the driver free entry to the pit area on Saturday, September 19.
