The United Rebel Sprint Series will make its final appearance at the Colorado Motor Sports Park’s 3/8 mile oval this Friday, September 18th as its Championship Night and Colorado’s newest racing venue. In its two previous visits to CMSP the Rebels have put on quite the shows with Coby Pearce and Jake Bubak both claiming victories. Look for yet another barn burner as the Rebels hit the track again.
Coby Pearce seems to have the track figured out as he led every lap of the first race held at CMSP. Veteran driver Mark Walinder, who finished in the runner up spot, is no stranger to the oval. In the second visit, Coby Pearce once again seemed to be cruising to a second win as he jumped to the lead with 2013-2014 URSS National Champion Jake Bubak steadily working his way through the field. Pearce had lapped his way to the fourth place running car when a caution flew. On the restart Pearce’s mount suffered mechanical troubles as his rear end exploded giving the lead to the eventual winner Jake Bubak. Look for Pearce to be one of the contenders as the Rebels once again hit the tricky 3/8’s oval.
Joining the URSS Sprint Cars with be Modifieds, Sport Modifieds, Stock Cars and the 270cc Micro Sprints. It is Championship Night at Colorado Motor Sports Park and all of your local favorites will be battling for the title and bragging rights for the Inaugural Season at CMSP.
