Chico, CA (September 28, 2015)…The final two nights of dirt track racing for 2015 will take place this Friday and Saturday night at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico.  On October 2nd and 3rd the 23rd Annual Fall Nationals will host a staggering amount of winged 360 sprint cars on both nights.  The drivers will once again battle for the win and pay respects to fellow fallen racer Stephen Allard.  It will be the third time the Fall Nationals will race in Tribute to Stephen Allard.

The event offers a nice mix of individual track champions from all over the Western United States combined with local stars.  These drivers will converge for the two nights of racing and see who can reign supreme on the famed quarter-mile clay oval surface.  Over $35,000 in purse money will be spread out among the competitors vying for the top spots.  Friday night’s 360 sprint car winner will receive $3,000 while Saturday night’s 40-lap main event winner will net $5,000.

Joining the winged sprint cars on Friday night are the Economy Winged Sprints.  Saturday night the wingless sprints will accompany the 360 sprint cars.  There is a printable entry form that can be downloaded from our website at www.silverdollarspeedway.com.

Sean Becker comes into this weekend as the defending champion of the Fall Nationals in Tribute to Stephen Allard.  Becker just recently locked up his fifth track championship at Chico and is a three-time champion of the event.  Becker’s wins came in 2009, 2012 and 2014.  Jonathan Allard has won the most sprint car main events at Chico this year and would like nothing more than to win the race in honor of his brother.  Allard has one lone championship at this event in 2008.  Mason Moore is still trying to gather his strength back from a stomach sickness this summer but the 2013 winner of the Fall Nationals will be near the front.  Even though Andy Forsberg is one of the best drivers in the history of the Silver Dollar Speedway his only Fall Nationals win came in 2006.  Forsberg is currently leading the Civil War point standings.  Bud Kaeding won the first two years of the Fall Nationals back in 1996 and 1997.  This year Kaeding dominated the Dave Bradway Jr. event and pocketed $8500 in doing so.  Kaeding will try to get back in winners lane some 19 years after his first win at this event.  Other top flight drivers looking for their first Fall Nationals win will include Shane Golobic, Carson Macedo, Tyler Walker, Kyle Hirst, Justin Sanders, Jason Statler, Justyn Cox, Andy Gregg, Greg DeCaires, Matt Peterson, Willie Croft and Steven Tiner.
