Heading to the coast with the King of the West Series over the weekend, Kyle Hirst picked up his fifth King of the West win of the season on Friday night at the Santa Maria Speedway, before recording a fourth place finish at the Ventura Raceway on Saturday night.

“It was a great weekend for this Roth Motorsports team,” Kyle Hist said. “To get another KWS win is awesome, and then to back it up with a Top-Five at Ventura was a great way to close out our trip.”

Friday night at the Santa Maria Speedway, Hirst was able to time the Roth Enterprises/HR Livestock Transportation/3H Cattle No. 83jr machine in fourth fastest.

Lining up in the second row of his heat race, the Paradise, CA pilot finished in the fourth spot, and earned a berth in the night’s Dash due to his qualifying effort.

Pulling the two for the Dash draw, Hirst would get the jump on Brent Kaeding and race his way to the win and earn the right to start on the pole for the 30-lap A Main event. Getting the jump on Kaeding when the green flag waived, Hirst was very strong in open track.

As he closed in on traffic, DJ Netto would give him a challenge, and actually slide into the lead, but the caution flag would waive, and give Hirst open track again. Able to race away from the field when the action resumed, Hirst would feel pressure in lapped traffic as the race came to a close.

Carefully navigating his way through slower cars, Hirst would feel a challenge from Dominic Scelzi. Though it would get close, Hirst was able to fend off his challenger, and score his personal best, fifth KWS win of the 2015 season.

Making the trip to Ventura, CA on Saturday night, Hirst would set the standard in qualifying time trials before charging his way up to finish second during his heat race.

Pulling the eighth pill in the Dash draw, Hirst would finish in the seventh spot and line up in the fourth row of the 30-lap A Main. On the tight confines of the Ventura Raceway, Hirst was able to charge his way forward as he went both high and low.

Working his way into the Top-Five, Hirst would take the checkered flag with a fourth place finish.

“Friday night we were awesome,” Kyle Hirst said. “Saturday night we were really strong two and that allowed us to come forward like we did. I really want to thank Dennis and Teresa Roth and all of my guys for their continued support and constant hard work.”

The Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, HR Livestock Transportation, 3H Cattle,  Mobil1, FK Rod Ends, Weld Wheels, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Kent Performance, Kaeding Performance, KW Suspension, and Astro Titanium for their support in 2015.
