Big Money Still Up for Grabs with FVP National Sprint League this Weekend!

NSL National Sprint League Top Story

By Bill Wright

Windom, MN (September 30, 2015) – Though Danny Lasoski and Big Game Motorsports have locked up a $75,000 championship with the FVP National Sprint League, there is still a lot to be determined in the series’ standings at this weekend’s “Fearless 410 Finale”. Two full point nights await NSL drivers and owners Friday and Saturday, October 2 and 3 at the I-80 Speedway near Greenwood, Nebraska! Drivers and owners are trying to improve their standing and benefit the most they can from the $350,000 point fund!

2014 Knoxville Raceway track champion, Ian Madsen is second in points, and two-time “King of California” Tim Kaeding is third, 190 points behind Madsen. Seven-time IRA champ, Bill Balog and seven-time Knoxville champ, Terry McCarl are tied for fourth in the driver standings, just 111 points behind Kaeding. Balog and McCarl won the last two NSL events contested at Eagle Raceway and Cedar Lake Speedway, respectively.

2014 World Finals winner, Brian Brown, and three-time USAC Driver of the Year, Bryan Clauson, are separated by only eleven markers in the battle for sixth. Further back Austin McCarl, Brooke Tatnell, Mark Dobmeier and Matt Juhl have ninth through twelfth place within 88 points.

Similar battles are occurring in the owner’s standings. Only 25 points separate ninth through twelfth there, with thousands on the line. Four drivers are within 111 points of third as well!

Other drivers are expected to challenge the NSL drivers eligible for the point fund this weekend! With $7,000 on the line to win, and $1,000 to start Saturday’s finale, the best drivers in the Midwest are expected! Two have won NSL features already this season. Craig Dollansky won with the series at the Iowa State Fair Speedway in Des Moines. Brad Loyet was victorious in May with the series at Eagle Raceway in Nebraska.

Of course, “The King of the Outlaws” Steve Kinser will also be in attendance! Young Californian, Dominic Scelzi, who has two wins with the “King of the West” Series this season will be on hand, as will Nebraska’s own, Jack Dover!

Tickets and Times

Tickets are just $25 for adults, $10 for ages 6-12, and 5 and under are FREE! Racing is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. on Friday, and 6:00 p.m. Saturday!

The Nebraska 360 Sprint Series will be in competition both nights as will Mod Lites. Late Models will compete on Friday, and B Mods will be in action on Saturday.
